Cryotherapy is the modern and holistic approach to accelerate the body’s nature recovery process while leaving you energized and feeling great. Cryotherapy was invented in the 1970s in Japan and is essentially a process of using low temperatures for medical therapy. This could mean something as simple as sitting in a cold tub, ice bath or using ice on a wound.
Cryotherapy itself has been used in some form by the medical community for hundreds of years and is well documented. Doctors often recommend ice baths and icing an injured area to reduce inflammation, regulating hormones, and improving leptin levels which helps lead to weight loss. Today’s Cryotherapy eliminates old fashion ice baths by offering a modern, fast and healthy process that accelerates the body’s natural recovery while improving overall well-being and energizing the body.
It has gained widespread popularity with well-known athletes and celebrities to enhance their performance and careers. The process is simple, our clients step into our Titan CryoCabin and are raised shoulder level with the top of the cabin. Over the course of a full-body up to 3-minute treatment, the skin is exposed to extremely cold dry air that reaches temperatures as low as -250F (-100C). In this safe process, the body’s natural response to the skin’s cold temperature causes blood to be redirected to key organs. This results in highly filtered, nutrient filled and super oxygenated blood to flow through dilated blood vessels to your entire body providing you an array of benefits.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Prior to Entering the TITAN™ CryoCabin, you can change in the dressing room and put on a robe. You need to be completely DRY (i.e., no wet hair). Also, no metal including rings, bracelets and piercings. Enter the machine and disrobe but keep on DRY socks/shoes, gloves and undergarments.
Once you enter the CryoCabin, your cryo-technician will elevate the electronic lift so that your shoulders are even with the top of the unit before starting the session. Stand in the TITAN™ CryoCabin for up to 3 minutes while the body is enveloped by hyper-cooled air at -220ºF (-140ºC). Your Cryo-technician will help define your session time and temperature. During this session, the cold air penetrates just 0.5mm into the skin, causing the skin's surface to cool to 30ºF. It’s OK to talk with your cryo-technician during your session.
After a pre-set time, the CryoCabin automatically shuts off and the platform lowers allowing you to exit the machine. Put on your robe and enter the dressing room to get changed. If you like, you can do some light stretches. We recommend you stay hydrated after a session. Recover Faster. Play Harder!
